This year, the three selected students from Peking University will work full-time from June 1-August 7, 2009 (or as soon after June 1 as your students can make it here). These dates will allow us to house the students on campus for the entire term. Food, lodging, and travel up to $1500 will be paid for each of the students, and each student will also be paid a $3000 stipend. The research experience will be supplemented with an informal seminar series in which the students will learn about the research interests and career paths of current students and faculty.
Your students should choose their top three lab preferences from amongst the labs that participate in our Graduate Programs in Biological Chemistry, Molecular Biology, and Neuroscience. A list of the participating mentors and their research interests can be found on our program website: http://www.bioscience.utah.edu/. We will make every effort to match the students with one of their top three choices.
